FREE: Bike Safety Inspections & minor repairs with an expert mechanic

• Free 30-minute appointments (adult's bikes only: we are unable to work on children's bikes)

• Work with an expert bike mechanic and learn to inspect and maintain your own bike

• Full inspection and work report for every bike worked on

Dr. Bike Clinics offer free 30-minute pre-booked appointments where you will work  with an expert bike mechanic to inspect and make minor repairs and adjustments to your bike. Every bike inspected is given a service report listing the work carried out and detailing any further work needed to make it roadworthy. Appointments are by available by pre-booking only and are limited to one-per-household. You may bring one other person with you to your appointment but only one bike is permitted between you.  Please do not book multiple appointments!

You will be working in close proximity with each other and our mechanic so we ask that you and anyone else coming with you perform a lateral flow test on the morning of your appointment and only attend if your test is clear. Please take a photo of your clear test on your phone so you can show this if asked.*

Please arrive in plenty of time for your appointment and let us know if you are unable to attend so we can offer your appointment to someone else.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT NOTES BEFORE BOOKING YOUR APPOINTMENT:

1. *You will be working in close proximity to our mechanics and volunteers, some of whom may be medically vulnerable. YOU MUST NOT ATTEND IF YOU HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR CORONAVIRUS OR HAVE BEEN ADVISED TO SELF-ISOLATE OR BELIEVE YOU HAVE ANY OTHER ILLNESS WHICH COULD BE PASSED TO SOMEONE ELSE IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO YOU

2. Appointments are limited to one per household; you must not book multiple appointments. 

3. These appointments are for adults only. We regret that we are unable to work on children's bikes.

4. You may bring up to one other person with you to your appointment and you must provide their details when booking.

5. Only one bike is permitted per appointment regardless of whether you attend on your own or with another person.

6. Please arrive in plenty of time for your appointment. If you arrive late we may be unable to begin work on your bike or may only be able to offer you the time remaining from your original appointment. If you are unable to make your appointment please let us know in plenty of time so we can offer it to someone else.

7. This is a free service and there are limits to how much work we can do with you in 60 minutes. If we are unable to sign your bike off as 'Safe to Ride' by the end of your appointment we will still provide you with a full inspection report and refer you to a local provider for an estimate for any further work needed.

8. Things can and do occasionally break when working on bikes. This can be due to age, misuse or previous poor maintenance. If this happens and we are unable to fix the problem in the time available we may need to refer you to another local provider. We'll have a good idea if this is likely from inspecting your bike but we can't predict everything. Either way, we'll do our best to put things right in the time available.

9. CANCELLATION

   1. Cancelation by us: in the unlikely event that we have to cancel or reschedule your appointment we will endeavour to provide at least 24 hours notice. Where we need to cancel due to bad weather we will aim to provide at least 48 hours notice. If we have to cancel we will try to offer an alternative appointment within two weeks of your original booking.

   2. Cancellation by you: if you are unable to attend your appointment please let us know as soon as possible so we can make it available to someone else. If you fail to attend and do not give us notice we reserve the right to decline any booking you make for future activity.
